Tweed Weddings was beyond thrilled to shoot the beautiful wedding of Catherine and Dean on March 3rd, 2018. This couple’s wedding was in our own backyard in Manayunk, Philadelphia. The ceremony was the Immaculate Conception Church in Jenkintown, PA. The church is extra meaningful to the couple. This is because they went to grade school together at the parish school next to the church, How sweet!
When the big day arrived, the crew got ready in the couple’s parent’s homes, respectively. No one looked cooler than the bride and the bridesmaids in their superhero robes, though! Having the flower girl be the Robin to Catherine’s Batman was an awesome touch. We must say, the groomsmen did come close with their matching tartan socks, however!
Next stop was the ceremony. Okay, we admit it, no matter how many weddings we film, the ceremonies always give us the feels. This ceremony had it all; a dramatic entrance by the bride, a piano which was donated to the church by the bride’s grandparents, and loving glances exchanged by the bride and groom.
The reception was at the Artesano Iron Works Gallery, a gorgeous venue which allowed for many beautiful shots by our videographers, as well as special touches for the bride and groom. As a couple who likes to road trip together, they had a large US map on display as well as vintage looking license plates on the centerpieces. Who else noticed some of those had the wedding date? Among the detailed touches were superhero props for the mirror photo booth and the groom’s cufflinks had a picture of a very special dog on them!
Within the first 15 seconds of the Wedding Gram you can see just how much this couple has a unique wedding and special touches throughout. The bride’s “something blue” was her hand painted shoes which perfectly matched the hues in her hair. To go with the theme, blue mojitos were served along with handmade wine by the father of the bride.
Speaking of the father of the bride, who else got the chills when he said “most couples worry about their future being together, these two only worry about the times they’re apart.” So sweet!
With such a detailed and fun wedding, there was plenty of footage for the Tweed team to highlight in the couple’s wedding video. After seeing the finished product, the mother of the bride said the following:
FANTASTICALLY FUN AND CREATIVELY BEAUTIFUL!! I work in the wedding industry as a planner and event designer so when choosing a videographer for my daughter’s wedding, I had many to choose from and many with whom I have worked. I selected Tweed Weddings because of their youthful and creative videos. My daughter is artistic and a bit non-traditional and I knew that she wanted a music video style wedding video with a modern, fresh approach. Tweed was FANTASTIC!
